Coffee Guidelines - Traditional Service Informal

Education Hour & Traditional Worship

Procedures
• Please use the coffee left over from the New Creation worship service before brewing any additional coffee.
• Use the two coffee makers on the counter: one for REGULAR and one for DECAFEINATED (1/2 cup coffee to 10-cup water line). Once the coffee has brewed, pour it into the marked stainless steel carafes. Again, be sure to put the coffee into the proper carafe labeled REGULAR or DECAFEINATED.
• Heat a teapot full of water and pour into an insulated pitcher or carafe. This will be used for tea.
• Mix lemonade/punch in a plastic ½ gallon pitcher and refrigerate until needed. 1-2 pitchers should be prepared, depending upon the weather.
• Table setting: church mugs (3-4 trays), small drinking glasses, creamer, sweeteners, stirrers, 5-6 tea bags, napkins, a saucer for used stirrers and teabags.
• You may serve cookies, etc. if you desire. It is not mandatory. Feel free to use items in the kitchenette freezer that are not labeled. They are often items left from other events.
• If you would like a fire in the fireplace please ask someone to light it for you and make sure that someone puts it out before you leave.

Where things are located
• Coffee is in the kitchenette refrigerator. Extra coffee is in the basement freezer. The rest of the supplies are in the kitchenette cupboard near the window. These include, sugar, sweeteners, stir sticks, tea bags, and powdered creamer
• Coffee carafes, pitchers, paper napkins and plastic trays for goodies are located in the kitchenette cupboard opposite the sink. Coffee makers and carafes are labeled regular and decaffeinated. Please put the coffee in the appropriate coffee maker.
• Church mugs are on the shelf below the cupboard. Please do not use disposable cups, glasses or plates. We are trying to do our best for the environment.
• Table: If not already set up in Parlor it will be against the wall in the kitchenette. Plastic, reusable table cloths are found on the cart next to the kitchenette window.
• Broom/sweeper: Located in the closet next to the refrigerator.

Cleanup
• Load dishes into the dishwasher; fill the soap dispensers with detergent under the sink.
• When you start the dishwasher the light should come on.
• Wipe, dry and fold tablecloth. Place it on the cart next to the kitchen window.
• Use the sweeper in the closet next to the refrigerator on the carpet. The custodian will vacuum on Monday.
• If you are the last one to leave church, please make sure the door is locked.

If you see that we are running low on supplies, please contact Rita Hummel at 875-8388 or rithum1970@comcast.net and write the name of item(s) on the pad on the refrigerator so that they may be restocked.
