1. 2005 Church starts long-range planning process
2. 2006 Church adopts long-range plan that includes New Creation service, part-time Pastoral Associate, and part-time Director of Religious Education
3. 2007 Church starts New Creation service
4. January 2008 Congregation approves the creation of a Search Committee for an Associate Pastor -- to be an ordained, full-time position that will replace the part-time Pastoral Associate and the part-time Director of Religious Education
5. April 2008 Church Council approves Search committee -- Sarah Evans, chair, Nancy Dickinson, Secretary, Bill Gillette, Assistant Secretary, Steve Bretthauer, Susan Kent, Jessica Kramer, Carol Sowle, Susan Tyler (Rollie Cole, moderator, and Dick Clough, pastor, are ex-officio members; one or two others may be appointed)
6. May 2008 Search Committee starts meeting, including a meeting with Conference Minister Steve Greay
7. June 2008 Search Committee is commissioned at both New Creation service and Traditional Service
8. June, July, August 2008 Search Committee works on profile of church and job description; Trustees work on financial package to be offered
